It's National Fix a Leak week! During this time, it's a good reminder to check your home to find and repair water leaks on your property. Minor leaks account for more than a trillion gallons of water wasted each year in U.S. homes.

Water is a precious resource and it’s important to manage its use efficiently to ensure our natural supply remains available for future generations. The City asks that residents do their part to ensure we are not wasting water by regularly checking your property for water leaks. Please visit the detect a water leak webpage for simple steps that help you to determine if you have a water leak on your property. Efficient water use helps meet future needs, saves money, decreases energy use and helps preserve the environment.

To support the water conservation efforts of its customers, Menlo Park Municipal Water (MPMW) partners with the Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency (BAWSCA) to offer water conservation rebates and incentives to its customers. This includes residential self-audit tool kits which assists customers in understanding how much water is used inside their home and where to look for potential leaks.

For more information on the residential self-audit tool kits or other water conservation rebates and incentives please visit the MPMW conservation webpage or the BAWSCA website.
